Thank you, Ruth! Such an inspirational story that can help us to look at our supposed limitations in a new light. The book looks wonderful, and I’m eager to read it. I like his blog idea of “my one good thing today.”

I remember being similarly inspired years ago by Christie Brown’s life story–My Left Foot, then the recent film was also wonderful.

I actually found your blog through the PluginId list. I agree with what you say about reading biographies and memoirs. I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. One I recently read was Wrestling With the Goddess by Azeem Kayum. It’s a great story of life and overcoming challenges that has really given me a kick in the pants to start living my own life more fully and to start writing again.
